Mr. Lynam deals in secrets. At its core, every tax whistleblower case involves information of which the government is unaware… a secret. Bringing these secrets to light is what lead Mr. Lynam to co-found the IRS Whistleblower practice of Lynam Knott P.A. He has helped hundreds of clients before the IRS Whistleblower Office, Department of Justice Tax Division, and the U.S. Tax Court. With over $100 billion in active submissions and tens of millions in IRS Whistleblower Awards to date, Mr. Lynam knows what it takes to help well-placed insiders make the most of the secrets they have uncovered. Shepherding clients through all aspects of tax whistleblowing while protecting their identity and maximizing their chances of recovery is not just Mr. Lynam’s job, it is his passion.

Prior to aiding tax whistleblowers, Mr. Lynam practiced in the area of federal tax controversies at Baker & McKenzie LLP and Miller & Chevalier Chartered; both ranked as one of the top five tax litigation practices in the United States by Chambers & Partners USA. Mr. Lynam aided multi-national corporations and high-net-worth individuals at all levels of tax controversy usually focused on the international aspects of U.S. taxation.
