The new tax whistleblower statute and the IRS' Whistleblower Rewards program are still evolving. Currently, all tax whistleblower cases are filed with the IRS Service Center in Ogden, Utah, in an effort to centralize the processing of claims. Evaluation of the claims will be performed by the IRS Whistleblower Office in Washington, D.C. As issues are resolved, new initiatives implemented, and protocols established, this page will be updated to reflect changes that current and prospective claimants should be aware of.
